My dad went to a ear,nose,throat dr recently the test that was ran showed that when he would swallow food or fluids it was going into his lungs. As long as he would hold his head down when swallowing it would go down right. All the dr told him to do was hold his down when swallowing. What would cause this and is there another type of dr he could go see that would tell him what is the problem?

The next day I took her to the nearest clinic as she was still very ill. The dr. there did blood work said her white count was still high and read her hosoital report said it was not meningitis but the flu and nothing to worry about. Gave her a shot for the head ache and vomitting and released her. That night she was taken to another er by ambulance and a lumbar puncture was performed. It was possitive for viral meningitis and herpes simplex enephalitis my daughter went into cardiac arrest on the 22 and life support was with drew the next day, When she presented with these symtoms why did the other doctors not perform a lumbar puncture?

My father in law had surgery two days ago to remove a cataract. During the procedure the doctor struggled to get the artificial lense on. After about 5 attempts the surgery was done. The next day he couldn't hardley see out of the eye and it is draining a lot. There is also a lot of fluid built up behind the lense. Can you explain what went wrong and what his prognosis may be? The doctor said when she put in some drops he flinched and it caused the complication. I just don't understand. She has never had this happen before, but I assume he isn't the first person to flinch during the procedure. Thanks for any information you may have.

They said they just want to rule out certain issues. What could possibly be wrong with her liver to do a biopsy on it? They said it wouldn't be cancer, but what else could be wrong?

Two months ago I got skin graft on my hand (due to 2nd degree burn). I appreciate answer to few questions.
1. Was skin graft needed? The burn was second degree. The palm of my hand did not get graft and is now healed. Top of the hand was very red after the burn. One small area of top of the hand which rejected the graft has developed a healthy skin already.
2. The grafted skin was from my leg. Should it not have been taken from an area which was thinner? (as the skin on my hand feels like thick leather).
3. After two months, all my burns (I had 20% burn on chest and neck) appears to have grown skin without any scarring, but my grafted skin on my hand , even though looks ok, is extremely painful, it is a constant battle to stretch it, and it does not feel as part of my body. It feels like thick leather glued to my hand. I stretch it daily, yet every morning it is back to where it was the day before!
I just wonder if the graft was really needed, or was it a doctors decision to perform surgery on patient with good insurance coverage.

my friend and i met in a program. i was there because of lack of housing. i have never been hospitialized i was diagnosed with anxiety-panic disorder but i can't get him to tell me his illness. he was hospilized for 5yrs, he seems to be self centered craves alot of attention put others down not capable of sexual encounters often he has a child like attude about things that is important he likes to parade around in front of his web cam he flirts but only on the computer. he seem to not be able to deal with women person to person he lies habitually (ex.) he makes dates no call, no show and he acts like he don't remember. i like him but i don't seem to know what the bottom line is with him. he uses the computer as a mean of relationships. can you kind of tell me what his mental illness sounds like my therapist says he sound limitless to what he can do and it might be to stressful for him to get deeply involved. yet i see him as being a rude selfish person because i haven' a clue of his illness.
